Candy Cane Smoothie
Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas! Wishing everyone a beautiful, festive holiday! If you’ll be eating cookies all day like me, try this Candy Cane shake for a clean eating option to kick off your morning, or enjoy as a late night healthy treat (with a cookie or two – sure, why not…it’s Christmas after all!!)
Candy Cane Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
- 5 ice cubes or frozen coconut milk cubes
- 1-2 drops peppermint extract
- 1/4 frozen banana
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon honey, agave, or maple syrup, 2 dates, or 1/2 tablespoon coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder of choice [ie: @perfectfit or @manitobaharvest ]
Optional: make it chocolatey by adding 1 tablespoon cacao powder, use chocolate protein powder, or add 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chunks. Throw in a handful of spinach for some extra iron and you won’t even taste it!
Directions:
- Add everything into blender and enjoy! Freeze for a bit for a more frozen consistency.
